The best part about being a consultant at Xomnia is the variety. One quarter I’m deep in PySpark and Azure Synapse for a financial migration at a.s.r., the next I’m designing a data governance strategy with Purview for Albert Heijn. Every project adds a new technology and a new industry to my skillset. You grow so much faster here than you would anywhere else.

The best projects we work on, are the projects where we are involved in from the start. It allows me to be at my most efficient in ensuring that we focus on creating value, and ensuring that we measure the value we deliver. Walking our clients through understanding what we do beyond innovation for the sake of being innovative, or using AI because it sounds cool is exactly why I work at Xomnia and why we build products that have real impact.

The project at Enexis quickly grew beyond a single chatbot. We were tasked with architecting secure, scalable GenAI solutions for the entire organization. Moving from a specific use case to building a foundational platform used by 7,000 people, that’s the kind of ownership and impact you get when working at Xomnia.

The challenge at Sandvik wasn't just to rebuild dashboards, but to introduce a true engineering discipline to their analytics. I focused on implementing Git and CI/CD for their Power BI development and architecting a data quality framework to guarantee trust. My role wasn’t just to be a developer; it was to be a strategic partner who fundamentally improves how our clients work with data.

For me, work needs to have a broader purpose, that's what drives me. It's incredibly rewarding when I see my data science skills helping endangered sea turtle populations on the other side of the globe. It's about using technology to make a direct, positive impact on our planet. That's why I love what I do at Xomnia!

You’ll work on high-impact projects for some of the biggest names in the Netherlands and beyond. You won't just be "resource-on-tap"; you’ll be the expert solving their toughest data challenges.

A few examples of our work:

  • Aviation & Logistics: Developing predictive models for KLM to forecast flight delays.
  • Energy & Utilities: Building large-scale GenAI platforms and RAG-based chatbots for Enexis.
  • Retail & E-commerce: Optimizing sales through recommender systems and customer segmentation for Technische Unie.
  • Finance & Telecom: Engineering robust Cloud/ML pipelines for VodafoneZiggo and fraud detection tools for Deloitte.
  • Innovation: Creating centralized data platforms on Azure/Databricks for brands like Polaroid.

We call this "internal time” in which you can contribute to internal projects, or focus on your personal development, for example deep-dive into a new certification. Your manager and you decide together what internal projects suit you best to add value to your development and CV. An example of an internal project is helping out in the development of our XomniaGPT.

We place a strong emphasis on sharing knowledge and continuous learning. To support this, we organize breakfast update meetings, Xpert sessions, inspiration gatherings, and Learning Labs. Every last Friday of the month, we come together for a Learning Lab, where we offer training on a variety of technical topics, such as the latest developments in GenAI, Databricks, DBT, Snowflake, and more.

In addition to these collaborative learning opportunities, we recognize the importance of self-directed study in your personal growth. That's why we provide an annual learning budget of €5,000 to empower you on your learning journey.

  2. AI Solutions:
Composed of Machine Learning and AI Engineers, this unit focuses on innovation and technical execution. They specialize in the end-to-end development of AI solutions, from designing and training models to deploying them in production-ready environments to solve specific industry problems.
  3. Analytics & Data Engineering:
This team functions as the "architects of clarity." They specialize in transforming raw data into high-quality, reliable, and business-ready datasets. Using modern tools like dbt, they build the clean and robust data foundation necessary for effective AI, analytics, and reporting.
  4. Data Platforms:
This unit, consisting of Data Platform Engineers and Data Solutions Architects, builds the foundational infrastructure that powers all of Xomnia's data initiatives. They design and construct scalable and secure data platforms on major cloud environments (as well as EU sovereign solutions), ensuring data is accessible and reliable for every project.

Yes, you can. The company’s organizational structure is specifically designed to support this through dedicated groups called "practices" that exist within each of the main units. These practices allow you to develop deep expertise in a variety of areas. For instance, you could specialize in:

  • A specific industry, such as AI for Retail or AI for Utilities.
  • A particular technology, like Databricks, Fabric, or dbt.
  • An innovative field, such as Gen & Agentic AI.
  • A mission-driven area, with a practice dedicated to AI for Good.
  • A strategic methodology, like Value-based delivery.

You will engage directly with our engineers rather than just recruiters. In the second stage of the process, you'll undergo a technical assessment that includes an interview focused on evaluating your technical expertise. We will delve into your tech stack, architectural decisions, and your approach to managing data at scale. A key part of this discussion will also involve how you effectively communicate this information to your intended audience.
